Easter, Gandparents and Luke's Blessing

Grandpa and Grandma left this morning. We've had a great week with them and will miss them very much. Grandpa (Ross) helped Nate re-do the kitchen ceiling and lighting and it turned out more wonderful than I had imagined. Grandma (Susan) took the kids to school bright and early all week. She also helped me sew a special outfit for Luke's baby blessing which was yesterday.

While we were trying to take Luke's picture, Ian wanted to get in it too. And then Annika and Kaelyn too, of course.

Nate gave him a beautiful blessing and we were blessed to have Nate's parents in attendance as well as friends. We took lots and lots of pictures.

I think in this picture the kids were tired of posing and Ian refused to cooperate any more.

But they were really sweet when they were with Grandpa & Grandma

Nate gave me a new camera for my birthday last Tuesday and it's been great. It's much smaller than the old one, so it should be easier to take along. This is one of my favorite pictures of Luke I have taken so far. It looks like he's about to give a big smooch:)

I also got these gorgeous tulips

On Easter Sunday, the kids really wanted and Easter egg hunt. I wasn't as well prepared as I would have liked to be. I'll blame that on sleep deprivation. Anyway, I decided to have the kids take turns hiding the eggs in the backyard. Then they all went out together to find them. I think they had more fun hiding than finding.

Debbie, you have the most gorgeous children. Luke is turning into such a cute little man. I wish I had known it was your birthday... I feel bad now...

Well, happy belated birthday! Glad your Easter was fun!
