The End...

Well, not really, but the end of education for our family here in San Antonio. Kaelyn was in 2nd grade and participated in the Accelerated Reader program, sponsored by the PTA. She got to go on the end-of-year field trip to see Shrek Forever After and got a trophy for first place in her grade. She ended up with more than 300 points! I'm so proud of her. She read all 7 Harry Potter books this past year among numerous others. This girl is a reading machine!  So what did she do after receiving her award? She immediately continued reading, of course.
She got all A's all year and received awards for academic excellence and being a 'Super Citizen'.

Ian had a great year as well. I loved his teacher, Mrs Short. He had a lot of fun with his buddies. Owen and Noah are in this picture. Owen has been his best friend in school all year. Ian also got awards for academic excellence in math and reading and his teacher named him 'Mr Vocabulary' for the year. Ian likes to use big and unusual words.

Last but definitely not least, Nate graduated from his Pathology Residency. We all got to go to his graduation.  Luke didn't make it though the ceremony though, because he didn't get to sit with his daddy. The kids played outside while we waited for it to finish and this picture was taken after the ceremony. I'm so proud of Nate for doing such a good job at work and still being there for us at home. I'm so blessed to have such an amazing husband!

Way to go, Annika! And congrats to Nate! Good luck and best wishes with your move and new home. Please keep us updated, I can't wait to hear all about it! I was excited when Dan joined the Navy because we would get to live different places... but that didn't work out for us! We are surrounded by military here, and everybody moves every few years... but we're still here!
