Last Saturday we all went to London for the first time. We parked the car on the outskirts and took the tube the rest of the way. Luke (and the other kids too) had a blast chasing pigeons on the square. We went to the British Museum first. It was humongous, I had never seen such a vast collection of ancient artifacts from allover the world in my life.
In front of the British Museum
The kids were fascinated by the Egyptian Mummies.
I didn't know that they actually have Cleopatra's mummy there.
This is a replica of the Rosetta Stone the kids were allowed to touch
And this is the real stone behind glass.
After the museum, we got the kids some ice cream. Luke loved his and ended up looking like a little clown.
The other kids thought that looked like fun. I'm sure we got a lot of funny looks.
Horse Guard in the distance
Saint James Park was really nice to walk through. They even had an outdoor concert going on. Too bad it was raining.
Kaelyn and Ian loved this 'Whomping Willow'. Every time they saw a weeping willow, they would call it a whomping willow. They are obsessed with Harry Potter.
On the way to Buckingham Palace.
Last thing we saw before we left was the famous Big Ben. The kids were tired of walking, but we had a good time.
That looks like so much fun. It was so good to hear your voice on the audio. Your kiddos are lucky to have each other to share in this experience. You are making so many memories. Some of my best ones were of England and the time we spent there. It's a magical place. I hope to take Naomi some day. I can't wait until the next blog post. Keep posting video clips! Much love and hugs - Laura
