Anglesey Abbey

We joined the national trust and visited an estate near Cambridge, Anglesey Abbey.
The kids weren't too excited to go on yet another trip, but when we got there, they changed their minds. It wasn't just a boring old house or castle. The guy who lived here had a large collection of clocks and the gardens were amazing. There was a grove of silver birches that looked just magical.

Kaelyn and Ian liked this statue.

The trees were amazing and some had massive mushrooms and purple flowering vines growing on them.

Lode Mill is a working grain mill and works on water power.

Kaelyn and Ian got a chance to grind some wheat by hand.

We'll definitely go back to visit the mill and grounds. Annika was recovering from strep throat, but still enjoyed the beauty of the gardens.
