Nate had the day off yesterday. The kids really wanted to go to the local museum (Witte museum), so off we went. The Witte museum has exhibits of dinosaurs, Texas wildlife and culture, mummies, river/water and (our favorite) the HEB (dominant grocery chain over here) science tree house. http://www.wittemuseum.org/exhibits/longtermexhibits.html
Ian, of course, really liked the snakes and I took his picture with a live tarantula.
They had the most fun with the hands on science stuff, especially the noisemaking section.
