Last night, at the last minute, I decided we'd go visit Santa at the gym. Ian and Annika were excited, but Kaelyn didn't really want to go. After we parked, Ian mentioned that it was probably a fake Santa. When I asked why he thought that, he said that he didn't see Santa's sleigh or his reindeer. It couldn't possibly be the real one without those. A lady who was walking behind us explained that Santa parked his sleigh at the airport and got a ride over to the gym. OK, that made sense. I told Ian that he could ask Santa if he was real (and that's exactly what Ian did, he's a believer). Kaelyn got more excited after some hot chocolate and a glimpse of Santa. Annika however kept squirming and told me she wanted to go home. She was obviously afraid and intimidated. So Kaelyn and Ian got to sit on Santa's lap, but Annika would have nothing to do with him.
After our visit, we headed over to the cafe where Mrs Claus was entertaining the crowd. It was actually pretty quiet by the time we got there. I asked Annika if she wanted to say hi to Mrs Claus and to my surprise she got down out of my arms and sat down on her lap. Mrs Claus was very sweet and promised to pass on the info to Santa. I asked Annika what she thought about Mrs Claus and she replied: " I wuv Mrs Cwaus." It was so sweet!

I open this up every day just to see glimpses of your family. I don't know if it helps or just makes me miss you more
I sure missed a lot by my neglectfulness. Your kids are very very cute. Mitchell just told me that Kaelyn is his cousin and his best friend. Just thought you might want to pass that along. Have a Merry Christmas!
