Tackle and Trophy

Yesterday was a fun filled day for Ian. Instead of our preschool playgroup, we had a swim party. Ian loves to be in the water and got a sunburn allover his back (it looks a lot better this morning, I did put sunscreen on him).

In the afternoon he had his tumbling lesson. I got a video this time of his favorite part of the class. At the end, they get to 'tackle' coach Gabe. Ian was first in line this time. Watch him:

The coach really plays along and exaggerates the impact of the tackle. Ian was pretty proud of sending him flying onto the air cushion. 'I made my boy coach fall all the way flat.'

After tumbling, Ian quickly changed into his T-ball uniform and we hurried to his final (17th) game. He did well, playing in the outfield, as pitcher and on 3rd base. He couldn't have been more excited about the pizza party for his team afterward. The team mom had arranged for all the boys to get goody bags and a trophy. Ian held on to his trophy while eating pizza. He would not let go, he was so excited about it. Coach Riley said he really enjoyed having Ian on his team, because he always had a smile on his face. Ian has really enjoyed being on the Cardinals team and wishes he could have the same team next time.
