The little 12" bicycle that the kids learned to ride on last week fits Ian perfectly, but is much too small for Kaelyn. She kept asking for a new bicycle and finally we bought her a 16", pink & purple with hearts, sparkles, streamers and flower pedals, Barbie bicycle. After a few cold and rainy days we were finally able to take it for a spin on Friday. It's a little heavier than Ian's bike, but it didn't take long for Kaelyn to figure it out. The bicycle perfectly matches her pink and purple (with butterflies and flashing lights) helmet.
Yesterday, we went back to the park and Kaelyn and Ian started racing eachother. Ian is getting really good at cutting Kaelyn off. They both crashed a few times and Kaelyn scraped her knee and elbow. They're learning quickly and are trying to ride faster and faster all the time. I'm sure they'll soon learn how to stop without crashing or jumping off.
Annika wanted a turn too and Nate pushed her around on Kaelyn's bike. She had more fun on the playground though. She's getting good at climbing and loves to hang from the monkey bars. Kaelyn took her down the tall, curvy slide a few times. It's great to have a big sister!

I absolutely LOVED this post! When I realized what song was playing in the background I started laughing and Clint jumped off the couch to see what was so funny. We were both very amused. You do a great job with your blog!
Thanks so much, Becca! I'm having so much fun with this and I love reading your blog just as much:o)
