Wonderful Weekend

On Friday, Mylene took us to the Guadalupe river. It was beautiful (hot weather though). The part of the river where we were was pretty shallow and the kids could wade. They had a blast playing in the water and throwing rocks. It just felt so nice to be out of the house and it was great to see the kids enjoy themselves so much. We spent all afternoon and I was surprised that nobody got a sunburn.

At night, we picked Nate up from the airport. He flew home for the weekend and it was sooooooo nice to have him home, even for a short amount of time. On Saturday, we went to the zoo and I got a picture of Kaelyn with a butterfly this time.

It was pretty crowded and hot, so we didn't stay for too long. Of course the kids got to play in the sand and water again. Now I'll have 2 sets of swim suits to wash:) Nate took us out to eat at our kids favorite restaurant (EZ's). The rest of the time, the kids just wanted to play with Nate, I don't know how many games they played up until this afternoon when he had to fly back. Ian cried again. There's just nothing better than having dad around. Another 12 days... here we go...

I'm so glad that you got to have Nate home for the weekend and were able to make so many fun memories.
