Yesterday afternoon, the weather was so nice and warm, the kids (and Nate) really wanted to try out our pool. They're a lot braver than I am! I've never gone in before May and then the water was freezing cold. We've had some very warm weather and lots of sun already and the water had been warming up until a big thunderstorm came through this week and cooled it down quite a bit. Ian was the bravest of all, which was a surprise because he has never liked to be in cold water. He jumped right in with the surfboard and swam all around the pool. Kaelyn got in too and when Annika woke up from her nap, she wanted to get in too. It was a little too chilly for her taste though. After Ian had made an ocean full of big waves, everyone was getting pretty cold and got out. Nate got ice cream cones for all of us and we enjoyed them at the poolside. I can't believe they swam outside in April!!!

We're very jealous. But was it as cold as the November when we came? That was cold. Clint says his teeth are still chattering. We can't believe how big your kids are getting!
It looks like a summer holiday to me! Ian really is a sports guy: swimming, t-ball, bike riding...
We are having some nice spring weather and tulips at the moment in Holland.
love, Susan
